- Wed 21st Jan 2026 @3pm(GMT)
This immersive two-part workshop unlocks the concepts of walking bass with clear explanations, hands-on activities, and practical homework designed to get you playing confidently.
We'll tackle the role of walking bass in different styles, such as Ska, Rock, Blues and Jazz.
Session 1 - You’ll lay the groundwork: learn the essential quarter-note feel, master root-based approaches, and start connecting chords with approach and chord tones.
Session 2Â - We expands on those foundations - add creative passing tones, explore rhythmic variety, and build lines fit for any jazz or blues ensemble.
Both sessions include guided practice and take-home assignments to ensure you make real progress. Whether you’re new to walking bass or want to move beyond the basics, this workshop is your ticket to unlocking musical freedom on the fingerboard.
